I don't travel during seasonal and holiday surges, and am mystified why so many do.
In my immediate area, as an American in Chiba, Japan, I look at Accuweather for a couple of months ahead and it's obviously magic. I just bought a top of the line snow shovel the end of last season, and not a flake of snow since.
I'm thinking I need to buy a jug of snow salt, but I feel I'm giving in to superstition. If I buy it, definitely ice.
