Lucy Art worried that she’d never competitively swim again after she was attacked by a shark while on vacation in March 2021. Now she’s won the Wisconsin state 50 free title after 20 months of hard work and determination.

(Black tipped) Reef sharks are the kind of sharks that are hanging around when one is snorkeling. I've dived with schools of them. They're pretty shy in fact.
Remember Silken Laumen? She was a rower who carved a ham sized chunk out of her thigh in a rowing accident. They told her she probably would never be able to row again. Less than two months later, after several operations and a lot of hard work she won a bronze medal and went on to win two more medals…
