A dangerous new trend of reckless driving in major intersections has left a 24-year-old woman dead and several others injured in South Los Angeles. Stupid people. That deceased woman is as much responsible as the driver. She shouldn’t have been in that crowd. So don’t make her sound like an innocent bystander because she’s not. They all participated in breaking the law.

Forgive my ignorance, but aren't there any large, paved, empty lots where these sideshows could happen more safely? Perhaps the cost of security and insurance would be prohibitive? I don't understand the sideshow culture, so maybe its illegality is its main attraction?

Crushing the cars would definitely cause pain to the car's owner; a permanent ban on driving would also mitigate and dissuade youth from entertaining such stupidity. Oh, too harsh? Tell that to those injured or killed because someone's ego needed boosting.

Can we please stop calling these clowns Street Racers nothing about they're cars are fast ! And this only gives the real street racing scene a bad name,. They take real precautions in areas as we did back in the day to actually race. Closing down a busy intersection to do some donuts with some Pepboys bolt-on domestic hotwheels isn't necessarily street or racing but clown acts of ignorance ! Sorry that woman lost her life, but you attended clown shows prepare for clown consequences.
Staying home doesn’t sound too bad. I love to be at home doing something else something productive. Im not saying you are a siner for enjoying a night out but there’s safer ways to have fun.
