A new FTX task force in New York is focusing on trying to get money back to people who lost out when the cryptocurrency trading platform collapsed. NBC News’ Brian Cheung spoke to one investor who says he’s now looking at a very tight year because of the losses following the FTX implosion.

Feel bad for the guy but why put your money in something so risky? It was all sitting in an unregulated, uninsured and off shore platform.
Excellent insight. People have finally realized they should not leave their crypto on exchanges and get it into a cold wallet, or at least a hot wallet, right now. This FTX mess has given crypto a big black eye, but in the end, I believe, crypto will come back better and stronger. Keep up your great work! Crypto investment still remain the best and most profitable. I love volatility that’s where you make money by investing and trading actively, you will also make higher profit so It's much better to put more of my money into crypto and continue to trade with Mrs Alice Rodwell trade signals. As I've made over $637k in some weeks of trading bitcoin through his guidance and trade signal with just $35k.
These people "invested" in an unregulated market on a "product" that has no real value except for what they can convince others to pay for it. Basically a ponzi scheme. No sympathy and better not be any tax dollars for these losers.
This is the problem with democracy. All these criminals learn their behaviour in USA. USA needs accountability instead of blaming everyone
What money, they owned bitcoin or other crypto currencies, not money, it's not like my bank account where I have real money in the account and can go down in the bank and take out XXX money in the local currency. The CRIME occured the day the person used real world currency to buy crypto's, but that has little to do with FTX or SBF, as he has no money, all he had was fantasy value in cryptocurrency.
That I can sell ONE monopoly paper money to someone does not make ALL the other monopoly paper money in the world have a value. This is where crypto goes horribly wrong, they sell one coin and then claim there thousand or millions of other coins has value. Except if I take all bitcoins and put them up for sale RIGHT NOW, I might be able to get a few % of the coins, but the majority has no buyers, crashing the price towards zero.
What about everyone else in crypto space who lost because FTX and Alameda Research manipulated the market?
why is no one going after Do Kwon? Luna Crypto ! why is not do kwon in court??? He stole alot of bucks just before sam stole that lime light! maybe not as big as sam but still.
The whole point of INVESTING is that you might LOSE. That's the risk. This was a LOSS.
