Tax bracket run by lobby groups who pay for Congress senators campaign. A simple tax rate of say 12 percent for low wage earners an 23 percent for everyone else gov would have more money then they know what to do with. As long as lobby groups control gov they will never fix it. You can't fix greed. Super corps super greedy they want all the write offs they hate to pay even the millionaire and billionaire. It's just that simple that's why we have 31 trillion debt. Biz rapes gov for work an we give to much to other country's. It's just not even debatable it's our bought out gov at fault. The wickedly greedy rule America….. Prove me wrong.. ..
All the tax payers funds must be displayed on a dashboard available for each of us to know exactly and I mean exactly what the money is spent on. We should be able to access one site as a tax payer, click on an agency and see the funds in detail. It is very disturbing that we pay so much in taxes and have no idea how it is being spent…and what we do see, is very very disturbing to me.
The reason why a flat tax is not a good idea is because lawyers/politicians will increase the so called "flat tax" every year or so like states have increased sales tax over the years. Also, over time this "flat tax" will increase to a point where it reaches the amount of tax there was with deductions only this time there will be zero deductions. DON'T BE NIEVE, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A "FLAT TAX".
A simple low national sales tax would be better!

We don't struggle with sales tax??? All tax should be on a fixed scale, and if it is flat it is flat!!! You have eg $0-1000= $100.00 tax. Anything harder than that and the dumb kids won't do it!!! LoL 😆 Americans don't hate the tax, they hate the bother of doing taxes…

The government should not allow an "Income Tax!!!" We should pay a monthly tax bill that can be added to our mortgage or rent. As far as our, "Social Security," goes, it should be left to us too save the money. I say that about our income, because in a perfect world, seniors should not have to pay for food, clothing, utilities, hospital bills, or shelter. If we call that socialism, then call grandma and grandpa Socialists!!!

We need to get rid of income tax completely. Repeal the 16th amendment. I think we need a national sales tax, with only food being exempt. The only money congress can spend is what was brought in from the year before.
