Last month, a Los Angeles jury found rapper Tory Lanez guilty of shooting fellow musician Megan Thee Stallion at a party in 2020. NBC News’ Yamiche Alcindor is joined by a panel of media professionals to address new reporting that Megan’s legal team is now considering legal action regarding bloggers who posted misinformation throughout the trial.

perception is reality and the way megan looks on videos and the way she flaunts herself doesnt exactly register "sympathy" so she shouldnt have expected any. Her expectations were unrealistic to say the least.

I’m just here to put some positivity on this video. I’m more interested in where things are moving now and not what has been decided by the jury. I wish people would respect the decision or at least educate themselves on the process of appeals. An online petition is not how that works. Misogynoir is real. Meg endured an online smear campaign that began with Tory’s First IG live denying she was ever shot and his subsequent album. The bloggers picked it up and kept it going further with their own narratives . It was really a shame to see.

The misinformation is coming from the same people in this video, not bloggers. They filter information so it’s only in Megan’s favor. That trial did not prove Tory Lanez shot anyone. In fact, it proved Megan did lie. She literally got in a fist fight with her friend and her friend shot her in defense. All Tory did was try to stop it. He was framed
Roc Nation really mad they couldn’t completely control the media narrative and only report what favored Meg. Thank god for those independent media outlets. We now know an innocent man was falsely convicted. He will win his appeal
