“Spending is driving inflation” is so disingenuous. Economists – even on the right – have all assessed that the Acts passed since 2021 have had very little impact on inflation. Covid caused supply chain issues – that was the initial trigger for inflation. Russia invaded Ukraine and that caused a global energy crisis. When the price of a barrel of oil increases, everything else increases in price. Hence why inflation isn’t just a US problem, it’s global – and in fact, the US is doing much better in terms of inflation when compared to other Western nations. If Biden’s policies caused inflation in the US, how come inflation is worse in Britain and Europe? Is Biden president of those nations too? It’s just so manipulative to put this narrative out there that Biden caused inflation. If Trump had won a second term, inflation would still exist. Republicans are basically lying to their constituents.
How much money did the Republicans spend over the past 5+ days with the Capital open. Including the salaries for each House Member, staff, police, clearing, plus any overtime paid out? The GOP just broke the bank in their confusion in less than a week. A snapshot of the GOP's lack of cooperation & commitment between members. Very discordant behavior already.
