I wish Uzzie had been captain after Smudge instead of Paine during that period (and no JL ofc coz these personalities don't work in consonance)…coz this man has a solid captaining head. Not to take away from Paine who did a good enough job as captain but Uzzie's leadership qualities are better imo. Long way to go before a non-White person becomes the Aussie captain I guess.

Let Uzzie bat. Selectors should have brought him back earlier. Series won. Sydney scheduling always been rain affected since aus v England in 1983, glossed over by easy victories vs weak tourists in tests that would have been 2.5 days in good weather. Sydney does not deserve a result in this test.

Wow Warner jumps and carries on like a porkchop every century, Uzzie does a little jig and gets asked like 5 questions about it. Australian cricket culture has too long been about expressing yourself only in a very narrow & defined way that the old boys can appreciate.
