Don't forget about that old case, Memphis Three, who were convicted for killing 3 children, who didn't do it. Took years for them to prove their innocense. They were set up by very bad people, and the killers were never caught. If there had been a death penality, they would have died.

Why is the press treating this guy as if he is already guilty??? They don't have any real proof! They match geneology stuff, but they match the dna, meaning they have a partial match, and they don't know if it was his car! They guy was dishevled yeah, because he is a phD student!! I don't believe this guy is guilty, I don't know how many people have been wrongly accused for murder and how many have been killed for crimes they didn't commit I wonder? I think the press is really irresponsible because we don't know, this guy could really be innocent!! And his poor family!!

I am Swedish and in my country (Sweden) you can not show the face of a person until the court has convicted him. What about if he is innocent? You are innocent until proven guilty. When the media shows his face then some pple will blame him even though he is innocent.
The way media is hyping up the suspect as the actual murderer… The prosecutor must pray they have strong evidence besides DNA which can be explained away in many cases.

I don't believe for a moment that genealogy cracked the case. That's a smoke-screen to how they really caught this guy. It's pretty obvious they knew he was the suspect from night of the murders from his cell-phone GPS locations and timelines on the night of the murders. His cell phone and location apps from Google snitched him out. So by the time they got his cell phone data, they already knew where he lived, where he traveled that night, what car he drove and just staked out his apartment for weeks collecting his garbage to get a definitive DNA sample from his trash to match what they had at the crime scene.
The genealogy analysis on the Golden State Killer took 2 years to come up with the suspect. Your closest relatives—your parents—only share 50% of your DNA each with you which is at best a partial and highly inconclusive match, and that percentage drops the more distant relatives and descendants you look at from a suspect, and that's if someone you're related to even shared their DNA with a private genealogy database. And mitochondrial DNA only trace the maternal lineage with all descendants having the exact same mitochondrial DNA, so you'd have to eliminates hundreds—if not thousands—of matches in the maternal lines to eliminate suspects.
They obviously got a direct DNA match from the suspect himself from the stake-out they did on him at his apartment. But to even do that, they'd have to know who they were looking for beforehand. So it seems the cell phone location data is really how they cracked the case of Kohbertger being the prime suspect. Now, the police are just covering their tracks on this highly powerful but secretive NSA spying surveillance tool because they know it's illegal, not admissible in court, and they don't want the public to know they're spying on everyone doing this.
This is how the police are solving many unsolveable cases nowadays.
I do not think he is intelligent. No one facing a death penalty charge is intelligent. … in the least. He is as crazy as you can get taking the lives of four BEAUTIFUL people. He is stupid. He got caught in a very short period of time. And … now he gets to live out his fantasy of knowing the feeling of taking someone's life. He will lead the exciting life of being charged up … under the control of others while he sits in a courtroom or cell for the next 50 years … or until he dies. He will never know what it is like to experience a wonderful life. Whoever thinks he is intelligent … is greatly mistaken and lacks intelligence as well. He is deficit in imagination … reasoning skills … foresight … in empathy … in valuable knowledge. … and has cost not only other people but himself quality of life … and freedom … and life itself.
I hope he gets 4 life sentences for the 4 lives he took.
