There's plenty of evidence that Russia positioned itself in 2014 to gather personal biographics via Cambridge Analytica and weaponize it to turn Americans against one another and tilt the election in Trump's favor.
True, the investigation did or could not prove that there had been any collusion but it didn't require any cooperation given the power/influence of social media, specifically FaceBook at the time.
Facebook lost a lawsuit having to pay millions for allowing such to occur. In short, Russia succeeded on both objectives: Trump won THAT election and Americans can barely tolerate each others differing views. If we could awaken from that influence trance, cooperate and place the well-being of the citizenry forefront, we just might survive the nonsense.
They are not just fools. They are liars and should be criminally prosecuted. Take away their indemnity clause and prosecute them.
