The thing is, Coolidge was president just after the 1913 Internal Revenue Act. Those in Congress had still not quite gotten up to speed on the new tsunami of cash at their disposal. Those were the days of "tax and spend" thinking. We're about 100 years past that, and a full 5 generations of experience later, and we now live in the "spend then tax" era. Everyone alive today has grown up living with this errant notion that somehow wages are really there for the government to seize and do with as it pleases – at all levels. To wit, what is going on this very week in WV regarding the confiscation of earnings ? We have local government here in PA that believes that are entitled to view your Federal and PA returns, and to seize their own portion of your earnings. The Founders knew exactly what they were preventing when they wrote, "Congress shall levy no tax," and its with us now, what too many just accept as normal.

What America needs right now. Is to find a way to get American's back excited about working and making an honest living for themselves. Bring back elementary school and college trade programs in school. lower taxes and the cost of living. If more Americans is working and are able to afford the things that matter the most. More American citizens would want to work. There would be less homeless people on the streets of America. The last thing that needs to happen is the government needs to step back and off of the American people. Stop wanted to know the people every move or transaction. America and Americans citizens have lost a lot of its morals traditions that once made this country strong. We also need to stop making everything about race, Black, White, Mexican, Hispanic, AND Asian. because majority of us make up America and we live, work and fight together to keep America going forward.
