Egypt presented statues and other artifacts unearthed during a year-long dig at the Saqqara Necropolis in Giza. The objects date back to the fifth and sixth dynasties of the Old Kingdom, a period roughly between 2500 B.C and 2100 B.C.

Imagine channeling the same near-psychedelic obsession the "west" has for ancient Egyptian relics towards Egypt's southern neighbor, namely, Sudan — another land of pyramids, and how much more could be uncovered about the mysteries therein. Some of those mysteries could even hold more clues to the origins of the ancient Egyptian civilization that mesmerizes 'westerners'. Imagine Sudan's ancient treasures got the same non-stop reporting on "new discoveries." Alas, such interest in true learning does not exist; rather, 'westerners' are more content with finding "extraterrestrial" origins for the Nile Valley civilization, using European actors to play dynastic Egyptians, exporting artefacts to 'western' museums, and lecturing Africans on how the ancient Nile Valley civilization is supposedly out of place on the African continent.
