Civil rights lawyer David Henderson says the Memphis police department needs to address the culture that leads to violence in addition to disbanding the Scorpion unit connected to Tyre Nichols’ death. “They created the unit, they recruited the officers who became part of the unit, they supervised or failed to supervise the unit, and they sent them out on the street with an admission to be aggressive on crime whenever they believe they encountered it. So they are cleaning up a mess that they created,” Henderson said.

Attorney Benjamin Crump isn't a civil rights attorney. Civil Rights Attorneys don't get 50% contingency money off a no brainer wrongful death case. Crump only takes cases where there is absolutely no risk of losing anything. He hustles grieving families. George Floyd case settled for $27 million and Crump got $13.5 million for a rubber stamp wrongful death case that the family could have done themselves. Crump is nothing more than an evil man hustling his own race .
The Federal Govt was advised to put undercover Officers in every major metropolitan precinct in order to combat mob cop gangs and white supremacist infiltration in the 1980's This never happened. You don't have to reinvent the wheel. The report recommendations have already been issued. President Obama could have ordered Eric Holder to take over problem precincts or put in federal undercover agents. Neoliberals take bribes from the same Corporatocracy and Oligarchic donor class.
