When are people gonna realize that the very act of running away from the cops is illegal in my tself? If you get detained, interface with name and identification then shut up. If you are arrested, then fight it out in court and not fight it out with the cops. A cop is well trained and experienced in hand to hand combat plus he has weaponry, communications and a disparity of legal opinion in his favor. But the cop's only duty is to interface with you to find out what you are doing. If you only give your ID and clam up, that's the only obligation you have with the government. You can always Sue for false arrest later. But don't run. And if you resist arrest initially the cop will treat you as a hostile arrestee throughout the process of arrest.
