Alabama farmer secretly paid pharmacy bills for those in need

Hody Childress, a farmer in Geraldine, Alabama, regularly brought cash to a local pharmacist to help strangers pay their bills in secret. In his lifetime, Hody had donated around $10,000 to the pharmacy in total. Now after his passing, Hody’s mission grows as people from across the country make donations of their own.

  1. 100 buks off zolgensma thanks my dude

  2. US health care system is a complete disaster. How bout we elect people that will support universal health care and low drug costs by having government control drug pricing ? Other western countries have already had this figured out and has worked for its people! Go fund me or generous rich farmers is not a solution.

  3. Can you help me I'm 62 birthday coming g up feb 19 my problem is I get ss I was abused women for 15 years I did upper and lower dentures. Need 2600

  4. God is great and we are created in his image, loving and kind. If we'll just realize it.😇

  5. What a beautiful daughter.

  6. Such a wonderful man. Truly kind.

  7. These are the kind of stories I like to hear.

  8. There are good kind people out there. Everyone can up each other, look to see who needs and give . It may be a meal, help to cut your grass, any little thing is great

  9. As a fellow Alabamian, this gentleman makes me proud. Rest in peace ❤🥰🙏🏾

  10. It's hard to get help when you are poor, I can never find it.

  11. His treasure is in heaven. It only makes sense to reward him openly like this. Thank you for this report.

  12. This is the kind of person that the world needs today. Rest in peace, sir.

  13. Hodi It's the #StartinPoint … Of Anything ThatMakeItGrow C

  14. Now imagine if these same people weren't likely vehemently opposed to "socialist healthcare", known throughout the rest of the civilised world simply as a "national healthcare system"; this wouldn't even be necessary. More importantly, drug companies would NOT be able to charge $800 for an EpiPen, as was described here. People act shocked and outraged, but apparently not enough to demand immediate action from BOTH political parties to target criminal profiteering at the expense of people's lives and put the evil greedy corporate executives behind bars. Still, what a truly beautiful & wonderful thing to do.🙏🏼❤️

  15. Pharmaceutical companies still gouging astronomically more than the huge profit they make in other countries but working people are giving up their intergenerational security to help make a difference because they understand this is something people have to have access to. This world.

  16. This was a good, decent man doing a good, decent thing. I wish I was living in a world were this was not necessary and where life saving medication was available and affordable to everybody. Until that time, let's be grateful for good, decent folks like him.

  17. Not the South some people may think

  18. Senator Bernie Sanders pushed lower drug prices and Medicare for all and expand Medicaid for seniors and President Joe is doing nothing to help Sanders only senator Welch from Vermont is helping

  19. Utah Alabama Mississippi Tennessee Vermont are more progressive than the Democrats party South Carolina is Clyburn state and they are really more Republican than any other state

  20. This is a very nice and a wonderful thing this man did.
But what we really need is a better healthcare system which is Medicare for All.
Big Pharma and health insurance are killing Americans. Philanthropy is a bandaid and it can’t help everyone.

  21. I believe he's in Heaven now🙏🙌

  22. What is really sad is that people like him had to do this. The government is failing us.

  23. GOD BLESS HIM, HIS LEGACY, & BIG PHARMA THAT CARES !!!! GOD REPAYS in some ways those who help do GOOD!!!! The old system seems soo setup for MOST to fail !!!! Without " health care" only FEW survive creating a chain reaction to people, businesses, etc… !!!!

  24. We have this story because epi-pens are $800?!?! It’s takes cents to make them!

  25. Gee, if we only had medical care and medicine for all…and don’t even start. Bernie Sanders proved it is cheaper. My daughter’s family would save $1000 dollars a year. Taxes would be incrementally higher, but the total outgo would result in her saving that amount per year. I now live in a country that does this.

  26. He is heaven sent but the pharmacy are the devil over pricing

  27. I didn’t expect to get so choked up. What a good man.
