These same people were up in arms when it was falsely reported that Russia was placing bounties on US soldiers in Afghanistan, but they want to make excuses for this major failure to protect the homeland on the part of the same administration that has an open border policy on our southern border. The answer to China's provocations is to get tough with them libs, but you are the same people who have no problem with rampant crime and homelessness in America's big cities, and all of this will become a big issue in next year's election. The very unpopular Trump is up 3 points on Joe Biden in the latest Washington Post poll (I'm pulling for DeSantis, who will do even better than Trump in the general election), and this latest national security fiasco will only make the weak Dems look even more untenable.
