Hot air balloons don't ever fly back to where they take off from, and they are controlled. This Balloon was never going back to China, Biden and the Pentagon allowed China to successfully complete their mission. They let the balloon fly all the way across America then China told them they can shoot it down. They knew this balloon was over Canada and still let it go. If you can't see this you deserve everything you get.

The true narrative is that China embarrassed the US government before the entire world following the Taiwan saga the last few months when Pelosi and others visited that island. In addition, payback for the daily US military aircraft harassment and intrusion of their airspace around the south China sea. I believe China released the balloon off a boat somewhere over the Pacific, taking advantage of the prevailing westerly jet-stream bound to the continental United States.
Furthermore, I believe the balloon was one of those high-flying (130,000 feet plus) non heating generating lighter-than-air craft at the edge of space, and not as the US announced around 50,000 feet to make themselves look in control of the situation, when in reality, they did not have any appropriate weapon to blast it out of space. Moreover, they only succeeded after a week of throwing everything in their inventory including the kitchen sink trying to blast the balloon; and then eventually lying that they were discussing whether or not and when to shoot it down … that’s BS and they, the US government knows it.
