Girlfriend or girl friend?: Singapore man sues woman for putting him in the ‘friend-zone’

A man in Singapore is suing a woman who friend-zoned him for over two million dollars claiming the rejection caused him “sustained trauma” leading to a dip in his earning capacity. MSNBC legal analyst Kristen Gibbons Feden breaks down the likelihood the man will receive any compensation as the lawsuit illustrates a challenge many women face of men feeling entitled to their affection.

  1. I'm from Singapore. I promise not all of us are like that okay. Give us a chance.

  2. Men really need to get over themselves , we can buy from a store whatever you think is so great because often it isnt so wat else are you good for but possible resources

  3. Wrong on two counts 1. This man is not Singaporean but an Indian national. 2. Bringing up PM Lee case of defamation is irrelevant. This case has nothing to do with defamation. This connection is so weak

  4. Did she promise him anything? Did he give her anything under the expressed or implied agreement that she would reciprocate? Was there harm? What was the harm? I'm interested in seeing how this is handled in a serious court of law. In real life men know that there is risk involved in courting. I guess he decided to court her in a different way

  5. Reminds me of Mariah Carey suing Nick for wasting her time lol. Dudes a Lil Mariah

  6. LOL, people need to get a grip.

  7. Oh these people of today🥱

  8. Of course the legal analyst finds this to be a joke…she’s a woman and does this to all men she interacts with

  9. Please, the guy is just a hustler, nothing more. Very pathetic way of making money.

  10. This is great news! If being snubbed by a girl can be seen as grounds to sue, I will retire as a very wealthy man.

  11. She probably used him for money, time and other stuff but then told him she only sees him as a friend. Also it's probably not his 1st time being used lol

  12. This was just 4 minutes of misandrous and anti-male ranting by 2 women and the new station should be ashamed. She dated this man for 4 years to get meals, go on trips and get gifts. She is the definition of gold digger and this sounds like a case of textbook fraud. I'm sure the guy was up front about what kind of relationship he was looking for and this woman made her mind up about him after the first date yet continued to lead him on for 4 years until he questioned their relationship. I'm sure she gained quite a bit financially not having to pay for meals that they went out on, trips they took and gifts she was given.

fraud. n. the intentional use of deceit, a trick or some dishonest means to deprive another of his/her/its money, property or a legal right.

  13. My man just couldn't take the rejection bullet. Brutally low self-esteem.

  14. The word "petty" has a whole new meaning now.

  15. She used him for his $$$$

  16. This dude, must be the hornest man in America.

  17. There's no merritt for this to even be considered news.

  18. I can see of sje hit him or was abuse…he's a total control covert folks
No one can buy your affection.
    .

Did she threaten him. With a gun likey ex? Honestly they dont for emotional abuse of a ex

  19. Communication really is key. I think that perhaps men + women who refrain from being upfront about what they want, is simply because they feel like there's something "unromantic" about transparency. In any case, it really is mind blowing that a full grown adult is essentially suing someone for not being a prostitute.

  20. Within five minutes of meeting him I bet she made up her mind, and it was the right decision, so even when she was saying "hello" she was really saying "good-bye…friend."

  21. I'm sure that'll work out. Reminds me of that movie where Chris Farley is in a relationship with the Saigon nightlady who bit his nose off.

  22. Get all your facts before reporting. This is very bad report that is poorly done.

  23. You can't make someone love you.

  24. It's hard to tell if the man is an incel or the woman is a findom. Incels think they're entitled to women and findoms think they're entitled to mens' money.

  25. It's not about getting her to like him more, or at all. You're telling me that you've never seen an instance where a woman led a man on? To have him think that there was more to their relationship than there really was? Look up financial domination. This is where both parties are in agreement with the situation. I only bring this up to show how vindictive females can be, as well as males. You couldn't picture an extremely confident dominant female taking financial advantage of an overly shy introverted male? I'm not siding with either parties. Yet, we truly don't know all the aspects to this case, but don't automatically think the female are the victim. Not too long ago, a girl talked her boyfriend in killing himself over the phone. Men can be victims just as well as females can.

  26. Have we all heard of comment generating bots on the web? 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 Like this one? 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 That's Yamiche, in a nutshell. This is a video just aimed at getting comments, not telling news.

  27. Yamiche Al Cindor is a left wing, tree kissing liberal who thinks college is a good place to get political. Try balancing that frame in the center for a minute, Lady. Let us all try to stop wretching for seeing your face.

  28. I honestly thought this was satire. If she was using him for financial gain and leading him on, that’s one thing, but it looks like he’s trying to weaponize the courts and just can’t take a hint. Prayers to the poor woman who has to put up with this clown.

Couldn’t he just go to a massage house like the rest of the men there? Probably would have had a much happier ending. (Too soon?)

  29. Stay off dating websites. 🤯

  30. This man who is suing this woman is a narcissistic weak person, and they should throw his claims out the door. He should seek brain therapy because as you can see he is traumatize in the brain.

  31. This is some kind of love scam

  32. My son who is well off uses money to manipulate women and control women. At 54 years old he prefers women in their early thirties, the age of his grown daughter! He is capable of and has resorted to domestic violence. I don't deal with him and I like it that way. He is also a stalker. Since he works for himself he has plenty of time to stalk even traveling to other states to stalk his ex wife and a stupid young girl who has a child by him. Ladies be careful out there. If it seems too good to be true it probably is. 🙄

  33. It really depends on the relationship and how it was come about if he spent money trying to bring her to that place or something like that on the premise that they were going to be romantically involved and then when she arrived she backed out she is 100% liable for that money that was expended on his part and we all know that women do not get to shake their butt take money from men promising something and then back out at the last minute that is breach of contract
