Newly declassified information is shedding light on the suspected Chinese spy balloon that entered U.S. airspace last week and was shot down off the East Coast as FBI counterintelligence experts on electronic spying piece together debris. Everyone thinks there's no danger until some farmer's wife gets crushed while she's in bed. Not to mention the balloon was carrying explosives. What if the explosives fall somewhere they aren't found during recovery, blow some hikers legs off. They were confident that they jammed the balloon's communication. They exposed China's activities to the world. They planned for optimal tech recovery. They thought before they shot. This is how adults behave, and that is the kind of country I want to live in.
There idiots who wanted the balloon to fall over the US. Viruses can live for a long time at high altitude, that ballon falls and can cause another virus spread. I think it was handled correctly off shore.
I read this on Weibo (Chinese Like-Twitter): The CCP was hoping the balloon get shutdown in in-land because they build sensors that resist the impact. Once the sensors are on the ground, they could continue collecting data, and signals. Unfortunately for the CCP, the balloon was popped in the water. Now, it's time to take down Tiktok!!!

I agree the man who asked, "why wasn't the balloon taken down over Montana…the worst it could have hit was a cow or a car"? It's an excellent question. There were plenty of places it could have been taken down that wouldn't risk the lives of people. The Midwest isn't that populated. If they had shot it down anywhere at anytime, it could have hit ANYTHING, meaning people, infrastructure, houses, businesses…They said the parts the found were the size of a car, and the whole payload was the size of a jet. Do these people hate President Biden that much that he's damned if he does or doesn't? I would say thank you to the man for not getting anyone killed, no one lost a house, or a business, infrastructure is sound. Just sayin'.
