The leftist goal might be for the CA power grid to collapse, this would turn CA into one of the Greenest states in the country. CA has proven with their large homeless population that people can live without power, working bathrooms, and running water.
My understanding is Commiefornia uses more renewables than fosil fuel, which is why the grid can't handle the load. If they're still using that much fosil fuel and their grid can't handle it, when they go further into renewables, their grid is gonna be even worse.
