Historically, Black patients have had to wait longer for kidney transplants than other races, in part because of an outdated test that overestimated their kidney function. Now, a new national rule will remove the test, which is seen as racially bias, in determining who gets a transplant. NBC News’ Yamiche Alcindor shares more.

Amen 🙏🏾, I have kidney problems since 2012 while I was 12 years old and I’m just so blessed I was able to run in national for track , play football and basketball . Being active and drinking water is key to healing your kidneys
