Over 1,000 balloons are launched every day. Most of them are weather balloons. Many of them are amateur balloonists like me just having fun with cameras.
Now America is going to spend billions to shoot down every high altitude high school science project, or amateur balloon flight. It cost less than $100 to get to 80,000 feet, or more. Foreign countries can now launch thousands of dirt cheap balloons to keep our military busy shooting them all down with multi million dollar jets and extremely expensive missiles.
