I have tested ChatGPT several times. It only has access to readily available data that is online. It is also primarily a language AI tool. It can code and it can provide a plethora of information, but it cannot (yet) get into secure servers or any database that is not publicly available. However, since it CAN code, it might just be able to write malicious script to hack databases, so who knows?
Just as splitting the atom provided benefits and detriments, so too will be the way of AI.
