  1. every single one of the people involved in this slide is someone not from our state. they're all from NYC, Connecticut and New Jersey. as an avid mountaineer and outdoorsman who has spent my entire life (35 years) hiking through the same Cascades Colchuck Peak is located, looking at this photo I immediately notice two avalanche chutes; which are incredibly dangerous during winter, particularly when the snow starts to melt in late winter/early spring.. it's not a game out there. please be safe and hike within your abilities. you're not just walking up a hill. you're in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by potential animals that can/will eat you and many other things like a minor ankle sprain can lead to your demise. know your surroundings.

  2. Its better to be alone than amongst idiots.

  3. No one cares about morons dying. Rescuers then had to put their lives at risk to find their moron bodies.

  4. A man once almost died climbing a Mountain other said to him why did you climb that mountain to die said I climbed it to live

  5. НАШЕ ДЕЛО ПРАВОЕ ! ВРАГ БУДЕТ РАЗБИТ ! ПОБЕДА БУДЕТ ЗА НАМИ !

  6. …and once again here we have people doing something exciting and risky, loving and living life to the fullest and dying. Nothing tragic here. This is beauty! Get out there everybody!!!

  7. Why would a group of people from New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut travel all the way to the Cascades to climb Colchuck Peak, which is an obscure Cascade peak, in the winter and without avalanche training (according to other reports)? Doesn't make any sense based on the information available so far. According to the Beckey climbing guide book description of the route they were climbing, the couloir where the avalanche occurred is a 45 degree slope. Snow-covered slopes between 30 and 50 degrees are the most likely to have slab avalanches like the one that killed these climbers. Seems like some poor decisions were made.

  8. Mountains are really high.

  9. At least they died doing what they love. Few people get to die doing what they loved.

  10. What are they climbing the mountain for anyway? Geez smh
