How is every storm "the worst storm of the decade" 🤣

historic, once in a lifetime, unusual, major, massive , the worst in more than a decade, once in a century
One poster mentioned that just a small distance from this 'historic' storm, there are areas that will have record high temps! That is shocking, but is anyone really suprised?
… Out here in Washington state, the winter has been so mild that the cherry blossoms are already blooming as of last week, and, now, the forecast is calling for mid-teens low temps (farenheit) tomorrow!
An old friend (who is gone now) used to say 'I don't know about this global warming… but, in terms of the weather, there is definitely some global WEIRDING going on!' (I liked that! …and miss my pal.)
…of course, some of the recent unprecedented weather events are absolutely and unequivocally a result of anthropogenic climate change. This is settled science.
Yet the revanchist right still denies obvious empirical (and even anecdotal) evidence, and the scientifically proven facts… just like they denied that cigarettes were unhealthy, that leaded gas was bad, that acid rain, dangerous pollution, and the ozone hole exist(s), and that humans could possibly cause a mass extinction, or deplete natural resources, and so on and so on…
Just a thought- Cui Beni, Eh?
Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples:
"The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat.
So you must be careful to do everything they tell you.

And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need, before you ask him.
This, then, is how you should pray:
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,

but deliver us from the evil one.

Snow, media always reports it as worst in decades, big deal some winters are worse than others and yeah when you put slippery stuff on the roads and poor visibility I would image travel will impacted but thanks for telling us

Historic? Really a winter blizzard during the winter in the north and in the mountains? Fear…Fear…Fear. That's all that is being pumped out and by design. If it was sunny and 72 degrees in this region, we'd be getting stories how climate change is destroying the country. If the temps were normal and sunny, we would get stories on how systemic racism is running rampant.
