you should buy and use a good quality VOC sampler (amazon has them). A good one will be able to measure the VOCs emitted in ones breath (yes humans exhale VOCs naturally). And a good meter/detector/sampler will alert you if dangerous levels of VOCs have been detected. Take it with you everywhere and get an idea of a baseline reading in your home, car, commute, outdoors, school, work, where ever. And after a few readings (say a week or so (but additional data is good)) you will be able to discern what’s average. Then keep using it daily because we really do live in times when things like this arise and can affect not just locals but downwinders as well.
