Are hospitals complying with the federal price transparency law?

As of January 2021, federal price transparency became federal law requiring hospitals to post prices of their procedures. But patient advocates say change isn’t happening fast enough and are challenging findings from a report from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services stating a majority of hospitals they sampled were in full compliance. NBC News’ Marissa Parra asks a CMS administrator why enforcement has been lacking.

  6. Hospitals are not complying with anything including adhering to OSHA; they have been noncompliant for years!
But hey where else can you go for a medical emergency 🚑 🏨⚕️🧑🏽‍⚕️👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

  7. This did not help me OPM AND PPO DID NOTHING to in force care but they took the money out of my pension every month. DMHC THE GROUP TO PROTECT US IN CALIFORNIA DID NOTHING. I WAS WITHOUT CARE FOR 3 MONTHS. HEALTHNET BEFORE THAT BADGERED MY DOCTORS DENYED DRUGS DENYED TREATMENTS.
HEALTHNET AND PPO OPM AND DMHC ARE ALL ON TRUMPS PLAIN DENY DENY UNTIL YOU DIE.
I LIKE THE LINE SHE GAVE WHO CARE IF YOU CAN'T GET MEDICAL.
GOD FORBID I HAD SEVERAL DOCTORS WHO DID NOTHING DR. JACKSON WAS SO BAD I ENDED UP IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM TO GET MEDICATIONS HE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN CARE OF. PAIN CLINIC DR. LEE DID NOTHING CALL ALL 3 AGENCYS NOTHING.

  8. The medical industry are thieves. They are deeply committed to rob all patients. Got to make the money. Praying I never need one.

  9. “Then he(Jesus) said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.”
    ‭‭[Luke‬ ‭21‬:‭10‬-‭11]

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” [Hebrews‬ ‭9‬:‭27‬]

“as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” [Romans‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬, ‭23]

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” [John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬]

"For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." [1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭22]

“that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” [Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭9‬-‭10‬]

  10. All hospitals in america are trash, they only want money at the end of the day. They are more worried about their look than actual patients.

  11. <Thanks bud for keepin us financially Educated! Regardless of how bad it gets on the economy, I still make over $22,000 every single week.>

  12. I'm so opportuned irrespective of the economic crisis and financial conditions I am still able to earn $33,500 returns from my initial $6,500 every 10days

  13. How about hire some help with all the billions you’re making then

  14. So everyone/businesses are expected to adjust to the pandemic but not hospitals? It sounds like some criminal charges should be filed, this is so wrong.

  15. That's bull-loney! You hire remote workers or allocate existing data entry personel to enter in the prices associated with ICD-10-PCS codes or CPT (HCPCS level I and II). The name of the procedure, supplies or the illness could be retrieved from a database on the server with a few search terms and a search box. If you hooked it up to Epic or whatever program the healthcare system used the database could be updated regularly by anyone with permission to do so. A lot of these already exist because they have a billion department sending out the codes to insurance companies, medicare or Medicaid. It's time to start replacing our representatives who aren't in favor of more aggressive legislative changes for this industry. You get one warning and 90 days to fix it. After that grace period 40% whatever of gross revenue gets taken from them and CEOs are intelligible for any bonus or raise for a full fiscal year.

  16. It does not matter because the insurance and medicare tell them what they will pay and without insurance a patient will have to pay full price – reverse racketeering?

  17. They are a different culture.

  18. No they 2 lazy to crunch the numbers

  19. Yes we’re so busy over here we just can’t be bothered to send you pricing…

  20. TALK THE TALK

WHERE ARE THE WALK THE WALK

  21. Hiding behind face diapers…these murderous scammers…

  22. The hospitals help start all of this w/ the fee schedule. Pull up ACO Medicare they say it's a group of MDs, hospitals, home health, and others dedicated to helping the patient. BS its about keeping more of your money and providing less care.

  23. I worked as the House Coordinator at Northside. I was a critical care and rapid response nurse there as I worked there for 15 years.

They rob their nurses and doctors blind. I can’t imagine how they rob their patients.

  24. Stop blaming the pandemic when you know your just being shady. Tired of the crap.

  25. "They havent had all of the staff"

Now you know the real reason why they refuse to hire more nurses. If they hire enough to cover the patients they will be required to stop scamming us on our bills

  26. This is the prime reason why health care costs are so high. Imagine eating at a restaurant that does not post menu prices. You only find out the prices after you have eaten the meal when you get the check. Sounds ludicrous, but for decades, hospitals have been doing just that. It's about time they ended that practice.

  27. The hospitals and providers don't want price transparency, because they don't want to compete on price.
If making pricing information freely and easily available was in the interests of clinics and hospitals it would have already been done ears ago.
they are dragging their feet because it is not good for the bottom line.
these hospitals and clinics that are not in full compliance need to be FINED yesterday.

  28. My life has changed Thank you Jesus . $ 32,000 weekly profit Our lord God have lifted up my Life !!! , Glory to the everlasting God Almighty .
