Buttigieg did not mention the name of Trump, from what I can see here, but, he did blame the "last administration" for deregulation that Buttigieg claims is the reason that this event occurred and occurred so badly with such dire consequences. Buttigieg specifically stated that these supposed reversal of regulations happened in the end of 2020 under "the last administration." The nation should realize that in the last two years of Trump, which would include the end of 2020, the Democrats had both the house AND the senate majority. A president cannot reverse regulations that fall under an act or law that has been signed into a bill by congress, and, signed into law by the president. During this time, with the DNC, the democrats, totally controlling congress, they would not bring forth bills that even remotely stood by themselves in order to address desperately needed funding in light of "Covid 19." Every single bill that they brought to Trump was riddled with a myriad of further earmarks that had nothing to do with the initial goal of the initial bill that Trump requested by brought to him as a bill. Even when it came to providing checks to citizens who were FORCED to stay at home without paychecks by the states, the governors, the democrats, and, some rinos continued to push the additional pork-barrel items and the items that would appease their lobby- constituents in big business, and, even state governments who were already in the red before covid 19 hit. So, those reversals of regulations go onto congress, which was majority controlled by the democrats. Even more striking, is the fact that the DEMOCRATS had both the house AND the senate majority for the first two years of THIS administration, the Biden administration, and, Buttigieg has been the secretary of Transportation for the last two years under Biden. SO, why have they not executed the necessary actions and regulations when they have had COMPLETE, unfettered power to legislate and regulate in all of 2021 and 2022 into 2023? Buttigieg and his fellow progressives are the ones to blame, yet, he tries to blame Trump for this. Buttigieg is many things, and, one of those things is a weasel. The reason that he did not go to East Palestine for over 2 weeks since this happened, other than he really does not care about "fly-over" MAGA voters, is that he and the Biden administration needed much time to formulate a blame game, and, to do everything they could to try to remove accountability optics in the public eye, for political reasons, yet, he claims that people around East Palestine were playing political games. Pathetic.
