As a Chinese Canadian, I think the whole western countries should decouple from China asap. Chinese communism is a cancer and they want to spread as widely as possible.
วนไปวนมา.เค้ามีกฏ.รออยู่
Newhouse is a fitting name for a US congresscreature. Because that's all they do with the money they stole from us; buy new houses.
China Is fcked bipartisan agreement on ANYTHING is so rare these days 😂
For the first time in its history, the US is facing a country which will overwhelm it in terms of the economic and military scales.
Really? Why should US choose kamikaze attacking on China? US economy will be badly damaged.
It will cause economy crisis in US.
China got rich with United States money & western countries intellectual properties. Can you name one invention by China in the modern era? This is the only country have all technologies without any R&D. Shameless sh*t!
"All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them." __Walt Disney
Lies and drugs at it's best!
Stagflation rings the bell?
I don't understand why we don't allow international students to stay and work in US and then bring the jobs back to the US
The power of the dollar went to too many heads and pockets of the elites….. hegemony needs this disruption for the sake of mankind and anti globalism
Let's decouple because the U.S. can no longer compete, sort of like saying, "we can't lose because we aren't in the game."
USA! USA! USA! USA!
Don't forget. The US Foreign Affiliate Assets (US investment, including your 401K) makes as much money from Chinese market as what they export to us. So if you check the balance sheet, China and US trade is almost break even. Maybe China has an extra $10B more. But overall, the trade is quite balance as long as you calculate what we get back from US investment for goods sold in Chinese market. For example iPhone sole more phones in China than any other market. So are US car manufactures, fast food chains, as well as Microsoft, QUALCOMM chips.
If we "decouple" with China. That also means China will push for Chinese Yuan as the trading toke with the rest of the world, instead of using US Dollars.
There are lots to discuss about "decoupling" but what I really hate to see is empty slogan of "China is a communist country so we are going to decouple with them." Let's face it. US, as the democratic country, actually waged more wars than any nation on this planet. So the "US is Good; China is bad" narrative can not stand the validation of facts.
Also, if we "decouple" with China, do we move the jobs back to US or do we just move the jobs to other countries? That is a huge difference.
I do not get the reasons behind "decouple" with China here. Do we "decouple" with China because it is a communist country, or do we "decouple" with China because their economy is almost as big as ours and post a challenge to us. These are two different objectives. In another word, if Chinese economy is just 1/10 the size of US economy, should we "decouple" with them?
Why partially?
The U.S is always cower, demean and kneel front of China. Impossible win or do anything with China. U.S is a paper eagle. Remember that truth is always belong to strong
This Administration is turning on China because China is promoting peace talks in Ukraine.
What person on this committee would want to be responsible for "partially severing ties" with China? May be big talk for the media, more taxpayers money for blah blah blah, but we are drunk in our materialism… this is stuper talk
Had corporations not gone to Communist China for cheap labor . Handing them all the blue prints on making the American product for China to then copy . There would be no threats now from China . Because they would still be a third world country . Profits over long term security of the U.S.A.
Need to move on it faster
BRICS FTW!!! 🇧🇷🇷🇺🇮🇳🇨🇳🇿🇦
negative comments! It is the rights of the people! The government has done a terrible job! Don't let the people give bad comments to the government! This is Chinese government bullying!
PARTIAL decoupling would only make PARTIAL impact giving the other party a chance to ignore such action.
'Partially'
Just do it man, don't wait. I don't think China cares much about US now, China has many plans and Xi is very busy this year. No time for US's drama.
Why doesn't NBC use Kristen W. more often?? She grew up in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia.
