  1. Amazing conversation!
Thank you NBC News for the video.

  2. I like the story about Speilberg asking him to write the score for Schindler's List. Williams felt he wasn't up to the task and said it requires a better composer. Spielberg said "I agree but they're all long dead."

  3. Wonderful, absolutely wonderful. Living legend ❤

  4. What a blessing indeed, that he's still with us, still present in mind as well, and hardly a sign of slowing or weakening. You couldn't possibly age any more gracefully than the Maestro.

  5. This man is the GOAT of Movie Composures

  6. Endless joy is what his music brings him, brings to those around him, and to all of us!

  7. He is my favorite composer. Thank you for everything you have done Mr. Williams.

  8. Legendary. Iconic. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

  9. What a phenomenal talent, that will surpass the ages. ❤❤❤ thank you 😊 I take a bow 🙇

  10. His music is amazing, and so iconic!

  11. He's been great LONG before that; in Lost In Space he was composing as Johnny Williams! Love that theme and danger music!

  12. This man is an absolute legend. I hope to see him in a live concert before he passes. In the future it will be comparable to seeing Beethoven in concert.

  13. It’s weird that Nightly News and Meet The Press have kept The Mission but The Today Show dropped it since 2013. I don’t know why TODAY is the odd man out.

  14. I wish that he would never retire. He should keep on making music 'til the end of the line.

  15. How John Williams reflects on working with Steven Spielberg? You should ask Steven Spielberg how it feels to work with John Williams, this guy is awesome.

Look at the scores he's done. Star Wars theme/score, Indiana Jones theme/score, Jaws theme/score, Jurassic Park them/score, JFK, Superman, Saving Private Ryan, Home Alone, Hook, 7 Years In Tibet, Schindler's List, Harry Potter, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, etc.

For starters HE WROTE THE STAR WARS THEME!

  16. OMG! I haven't seen John Williams since last century! Wow!! Congratulations John!

  17. he's ageless and his music is timeless

  18. If you were born in the 90s this man literally composed the soundtrack to your childhood
