Eli Lilly announces insulin price cut



Drug maker Eli Lilly announced that it’s cutting the list price of its most commonly prescribed insulin by 70 percent and capping out-of-pocket costs at $35 a month. NBC News’ Kristen Dahlgren shares more about the company’s move, which is being hailed as a huge win for diabetics.

  1. I had the discount with them for 25 per month so i was paying 75 for 3 months with this new "35"discount i will be paying 105 , so who is making money? Or saving were, what? Sneeky people.

  3. These costs will be carried over to other medications. So sad that we all need to suffer because of these type 2 diabetic people. Most type 2 diabetic people are preventable yet we all have to suffer now because of their lifestyle choices.

  4. It's not enough. Canadians sold the patent to Lily decades ago for a dollar or two so they could provide it at cost. How about paying back all that money? What about all the other drugs Lilly Gouges on?
