A fertility clinic allegedly transferred an embryo with a deadly genetic mutation by mistake. The couple filed a lawsuit against Huntington Reproductive Center Fertility after they say the clinic wrongly transferred an embryo carrying a cancer gene and tried to cover it up.

Unless gender is associated with a higher risk for a bad genetic disease deliberate gender selection should be illegal. Gender selection messes up long term social gender demographics and can cause a whole bunch of societal problems. You just have to look at Asia to know what I mean. I also just think its morally wrong to more higher value a son over a daughter.

Like “honey… it just would have been better if we had a different child born… a more healthy one.” They have not protected this child from illness. They gave this child life. And with the genetic testing in place, this child should have never been born. We wanted your sibling. “We wanted a healthy child, not a sick one.”

The parent will now live in fear waiting for the cancer of their child to come. It’s disgusting behavior on part of the clinic. For the fact that they tried to cover it, they should loose their license. How can they be trusted again?

As someone doing IVF and then PGTA and finally having to do PGTM…this is beyond insulting and the clinic should be held responsible. This is not cheap. This is not easy on the mother or the father. This is hard. And for them to mess up the agreement. That’s wrong. Absolutely wrong. 150% they should sue and win. Messed up. I would be extremely upset as well. Hoping my clinic doesn’t do this to us…
Just make sure the baby eats quality food and lives with minimal stress.

In another interview this couple said they had a embryo transferred but that it ended up in miscarriage. The 2nd embryo they tried for a boy again this 2nd child had intered his dad's stomach cancer gene.

the strange thing is that technically speaking every parent bringing a child into the world is essentially bringing them in life to suffer and die because that happens to everyone to some extent, many people die early and painfully from all sorts of reasons, it just so happens these parents tried to make the suffering minimal and doctors failed them,now they know what will hurt the child which is far more than most people can say.
for most, how someone dies wont be known until it's happening or happened.
