As a disabled Viet Nam combat veteran, to me, the Jan 6 excesses in Washington, committed by the few, are far outweighed by the horrors of our own government sending federal troops under MacArthur to attack returning WW1 veterans who were protesting broken governmental promises. Similarly, extremists of the political Left excuse their own violence but want to see everyone else punished for not kowtowing to their unconstitutional views. The Jan 6 extremes pale in comparison to recent anti-police violence across this nation and especially in Atlanta. The extreme Left has a bloodlust for chaos and domination. Their political posturing and violence are not about freedom but about making the citizens of these United States of America subject to Leftist ideologies.
