  1. Albuterol is so expensive, even with insurance coverage, that I have to wonder why the companies that produce it are filing bankruptcy. This shortage began two years ago, and nobody has taken up the cause, to produce this life-saving product and rake in profits. Why? What caused the most recent bankruptcy? Corporate malfeasance? Poor management? Gambling debts or what? Or has it reached that time where it’s no longer patent protected and can be produced cheaply by foreign manufacturers which cuts into the profit margins? Reporters, please investigate this. If this is big Pharma deliberately endangering public health, in order to rip us off…and make taxpayers build their new facilities, we need to know the truth, no matter who is behind it. It’s life or death for asthma sufferers.
