The real unemployment rate is much higher.
Filed unemployment claims is a complete fallacy way of knowing the real unemployment number. The labor force participation rate is not factored in. This is the number of people working divided by the total working age labor force available in the country. The results of this are 8 to 10 million people between 25 and 54 years old that are not in the workforce. These people are not factored into the bureau of labor's unemployment numbers, which makes unemployment claims total nonsense. Actual unemployment is over 9 percent with these numbers. Everything out of the mouth of this regime and their corporate propaganda is a flagrant lie.
