  14. I have a unique πŸ’‘. Let's not build back the badly placed housing. Use the natural flood paths to create a new resistant geography. Use imminent domain to create a more sustainable model with these new rain patterns.

  19. Climate change is a serious threat to all living beings including us. The weather will become increasingly erratic and extreme. I hope we can come together and our elected leaders will address growing ecological disasters, displacement of peoples homes and livelihoods, infrastructure revision, and famine will be on our doorsteps soon enough.

  20. hopefully it washes the governor away

  21. Yes it is terrible. But why would you live where a man made wall is all that is between you and catastrophe? The levee is there for a reason. Water runs down hill. There is something called gravity. I almost bought a house on a river out west once but decided against in part for reasons like this.

  22. I just wonder have anyone connected this to God's wrath. Your governor bragging about aborting the babies, he has brought wrath on your state. Wake up people!!!! Repent and get rid of that wicked governor. However I pray for the just as well as the unjust and I pray the people turn back to God. Condolences for all.

  25. Don’t they need water? Pray for rain and you gotta deal with the mud

  26. They whine and cry about drought, but no plan to capture and harvest free fresh water? Have no feeling for them. Too bad, so sad.

  27. Oh well another corp of engineers levee broke when it probably went in in the 1950s. I guess the drought is over. Would have been nice if while all the water was gone the crumbling infrastructure could have been repaired.

  28. It’s events like this that I’m glad the county I live in only gets 3 inches of rain a year.

  29. What's Gavin newsome going to do? Where is that money going to come from to fix that?

  30. That's Maxine waters distruct. Is it? Or pelosi a distruct? Or McCarthys distruct?

  31. The Levee break is not in Monterey. Its in Pajaro Valley, Monterey COUNTY, near the Santa Cruz county lineπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
