They wanted to cause the least damage in taking our drone down so they could quickly recover downed drone/data
This is a Ukrainian drone. It doesn't matter where it's made.
The Russians could not tell the truth if their lives depended on it. Not a single Country,.. including their friends ..ever believe anything they say. Its a Country who's leadership lie more than Trump..and that is saying something.

Video did not show the plane hitting the drone. Can US govt explain how the drone kept flying after the fighter jet hit it , got a nice video of the damage , a nice bend ?. Basic "Physics" did not apply to the drone !!. Violation of Newton's 3rd law of motion. Has US govt lied to us before ? Just once ?

The collision was pilot error (accidental). The downing, however, WAS intentional. If the intent was to hinder operations, the fighter would have slowed and taken a position in front of the drone before dumping fuel. Instead, the fighter approached at a high rate of speed while dumping with the hope that the force of the fuel hitting the drone would disable/down it. The big question is: are we going to send Putin a bill for its replacement?
Thereβs no way to recognize the Russian jet, the American drone or the Black Sea.
Ok that Craft cost over 2 billion dollars are we going to do something about it ?
