As many drivers grow increasingly dependent on GPS navigation devices, new research from McMaster University in Canada suggests that solving the puzzle of getting lost keeps the brain healthy. NBC News’ Dr. John Torres has more insight on how losing navigational skills can lead to cognitive decline, and even dementia.

Absolute agreement!
(During a solar flare, a major sports event or a major storm ) a GPS could be the most dangerous piece of equipment in your car. Stay off of the freeway and stick to side streets. Be familiar with at least the direction you are heading towards and do not be afraid of pulling over to evade those who have no brakes.
Boycott all of the commie elites technology b.s…
When I don't know the location ! I simply drive into night like a cowboy 🤠
Getting lost in your car is a very different experience from being lost in the wilderness.
Huh?🤨
Yay Kathy!
Gps is only thing i like about my phone
How about calling up the place of business and asking directions how to get there. Thing of the past.
Now this is a "cute" story. However this has nothing to do with dementia, avoiding "gps" will not help you there. It's a medical condition and you will lose your mind. Furthermore if you are stuck on the Los Angeles I-10 near Crenshaw Boulevard, or the 405 near LAX, you'd better hope you have gps to get you out of that mess. This kind of feel good story does not cover over the fact that the world is at war, is suffering from famine, and is unstable in many regions. Don't ignore working on the solutions to those problems with stories about how a grandma bakes cookies everyday for kids going home from school. The latter is not news; 95 % of all people are kind and helpful. And it is noticed.
NBC propaganda channel. Technology is there to be used. "Paid shills" as experts lmfao. Try harder.
Speak for yourself 🤓🖕
I don't use gps. Mostly sucks up time
Getting lost and starving weakens the brain too
Yes if you know what direction your heading in 😂
Except when you have a disability
Sometimes getting lost can be a good thing lmfao
i’d rather not get kidnapped, therefore GPS
I’m 25 I don’t use a GPS. I just drive around until I find what I’m looking for
Wer you going to find a map?
Just don't get a Stupidphone.
What's a gps? I don't have one.
