They are so ugly…
My auntie rescued a starved, abused and extremely sick french bulldog puppy, he had to have nose surgery so he could breathe, had heart surgery with all the vet bills and surgeries she's in a lil over 17 thousand dollars. Hank is doing so much better now but will be on heart meds throughout his life.

Labs are loyal, easy to train, extremely intelligent, and have the drive to please their owners. Can be a wonderful working dog or a great family dog. And the snuggles are unmatched. No thanks, I'll stick with my labradors all day.
Oh, how surprising! Retrievers are one of the dogs on the top ten smartest dogs list! Bull dogs far at the bottom! Seems to fit nicely in 2023! Weird, Stupid & lazy are definitely the trend in the US now. My money would have been on the Sheep Dog! 😂
And accelerates “favoritism” of breeds when even they have tons of genetic disorders thus tons of dogs to be k!illed from shelters more? We are crazy

Fake news? I live in NYC surrounded by dogs and have never seen a French bulldog, ever. Have seen tons of toy breeds (shihtzus, Yorkis, Chihuahuas, etc.), the typical rough breeds (pit bulls, Rottweilers), the occasional breed you tend to see in middle class suburbia (beagle, Lab) and even an English bulldog. Have never seen a Frenchie.
This is how sick the dog industry is. People should NEVER buy dog’s bred to have flat faces. They are NEVER healthy. Dogs are meant to have normal noses with miles and miles of scent coils because scenting is their dominant language. If you look at the X-rays and ultra sounds of brachycephalic dogs, you’d be appalled!
They are popular because they suit people’s inactive lifestyles and cause little trouble to people who don’t want to put effort into training and walking. It’s certainly not because it’s for the dog’s benefit!! They are less active because they can’t breathe well!! We need to start holding the kennel clubs responsible for unethical breeding for show standards that destroy the health of dogs. many of these breeds, (pugs, pekes, poms, etc.) come into dog classes literally unable to play or participate without wheezing. Sometimes They are unable to concentrate or learn anything. One is actually passing out occasionally, due to lack of oxygen and his owner thinks it’s cute!!!
Yet they are quite popular with people. They would rather have a “baby” looking, passive dog than a healthy, normally active dog.
They will declare they “love” their dog and I’m sure they do, but it’s a self serving “love” that supports destroying the health of an entire breed of dogs just for “looks”.
Please don’t buy them!! If you have one, love it and be prepared to put some money into vets bills and be prepared that it won’t live very long. And do not breed it or buy another one to replace it. We need to stop narrowing the genetics of our animals without any concern for their health, their brain power or their temperament.

I always say that it is animal cruelty to breed these poor dogs. They have far too many health issues, and breeding should be banned. I'm glad the story at least mentioned that.

I can promise this isn't the top USA breed. I live in a city of 27,000+ people and yet to see one in the city. Dog awards don't count as the top breed. It counts by how many people per city own them. I highly doubt the networks did research, rendering this video as mis-information, which is banable on YouTube.

the Labs in my brother's wife's family. They loved hunting season and getting the ducks.
"A french bulldog just wants to sit on the couch with you"?!!! Don't believe it. The Frenchie needs a walk daily or they develop behavior problems. If you have two unwalked dogs it can cause fights. Some are more active than others, but they all need walking!!! And they need walking in cool weather and early in the morning in summer because they can't take the heat with their smashed in faces. Sure, after the walk they just want to hang out with you, but so do most dogs.
