I'm calling BS on this "whale" story.
How does a whale sink a small fiberglass boat? Maybe by breaching on it, but ramming it? A wood boat maybe, but one piece fiberglass/plastic? It would just spin or push. Or they hit a cargo container and said it was a whale. (That could cause a hull breach due to 90 degree metal corners). How did they identify it?. Did they all watch it swim towards the boat? She says "that whale hit us" (liar). He says "we hit a whale" in his text. She's clearly lying. And you can run a sailboat aground without causing catastrophic bow damage. Maybe they hit a whale, like a Right whale or other surface variety. There are only 342 Right whales left on Earth at last count (yes, 342 total, not 3,000 or 30,000 or 300,000). They certainly were NOT "hit by a whale" as their text message contradicts their lies. So this story seems fishy.
