Full time pay for full time workers and part time pay for part time workers, salary sucks tho unless its extremely good pay, and you should be able to get fired if you are a poor quality teacher, altogether i think public schools are bad because of all this and as an institution is unconstitutional, this is our taxpayer money, the union and the government are greedy also more teachers molest children than preists, the only Union im part of is The United States of America. If you dont like something do it yourself and dont tax me, speak softly and carry a big stick.
How did all these teachers get such large rear-ends if they can't afford to eat?
LAUSD lost 270,000 students k-12 in the last 2 years which is almost $3 billion dollars in loss revenue to schools. Many stopped going to school, some went to private school and others home schooled.
$25K a year huh, that is $12 an hour. I just looked at all the current job openings at LAUSD.
The lowest per hour is $16.91 – $18.62 an hour for Bus Park Attendant.
Sr. Tree Surgeon, custodial & ground operations, $29-$36 an hour
Assist Photocopy technician, $19 – $23 an hour
They want 23% pay raise for nonteachers and teachers to want 30% pay increase after this strike.
Why not just raise everyone's taxes an additional 20% to help cover the schools budget since they have no money.
Maybe the district should get the money from the LAPD budget. Education is far more valuable than police.
