I wonder if it was a dust explosion? I worked in a chocolate factory and a pasta factory years ago. Dust explosions are a thing. Dust is in the process of creating chocolate and other products. If the dust is in suspension (fine particles in the air) and there is an ignition source (like a process that involves heat or other source), it can explode – violently. Or, of course, this could have been some kind of gas explosion. My condolences to all involved. I can't imagine being the supervisor on duty when this happened. One of my worst fears as a supervisor in my previous work. 💔
