I know a lot of people will say âthe co-pilot can handle this, no biggie.â While technically true, thatâs not the point. Itâs always preferable (and safer) to have an additional person who can take controls if needed. If nothing else, this backup pilot made things much easier for the co-pilot, and that shouldnât be taken lightlyâŚ

Co-pilot can easily land the plane safely by himself. He normally flies/lands 50% of the flights. They always want to make it sound like it would have been very difficult without the extra pilot. Thatâs not the case.
