Congratulations WA
Ah, is nice to see how far they’ve come. When I first started paying attention to cricket properly, WA were almost never winning tournaments. Some years they’d get within touching distance, missing the final in the final round, so to see them actually doing well, it’s nice to see.
As for the other teams, their time will come. After all, Victoria are not as good as they were a decade ago, but they still keep making the finals, that’s quite a feat. And South Australia are improving. They may not be contenders just yet, but they’re getting there. Queensland was solid as always. Tasmania may not have been at its peak, but they’ve still got some promising players coming through. NSW… well, they had a horrid year, winless for only the second time in their history. But is NSW, you’d expect they’ll bounce back eventually.
So, congrats WA, enjoy your time as champions. Winning all three formats two years in a row, astonishing stuff. If you’d told me that a decade ago, I’d have scarcely believed it
Well done 👍👍
