The family of an American couple kidnapped in Haiti say they were traveling to the country to visit relatives but are now being held hostage for ransom money. NBC’s Gabe Gutierrez has the latest.

2 years ago the state department updated it's "don't travel to list" to include 80% of all countries in the world, Haiti has been on that list for decades. I rarely have ALOT of empathy for risky travel of pleasure.
Why go to Haiti?

For those that don’t know what a level 4 Travel Advisory means..
The U.S. State Department says the following, “This is the highest advisory level due to greater likelihood of life-threatening risks. During an emergency, the U.S. government may have very limited ability to provide assistance. The Department of State advises that U.S. citizens not travel to the country or to leave as soon as it is safe to do so. The Department of State provides additional advice for travelers in these areas in the Travel Advisory. Conditions in any country may change at any time.”
So yes, even though they had family there doesn’t make a difference. The U.S. itself now has limited assistance to help them in this situation.
Concerns about risk of kidnapping, crime and civil unrest are all prominent risk factors for Haiti, which borders the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean Sea. The country has experienced a number of natural disasters, which along with economic and social instability, contribute to chronic poverty. In October, the country’s prime minister asked for international security forces to help combat ongoing gang violence, stating that “the whole country has been taken hostage.” The travel advisory states that “U.S. citizens should depart Haiti now in light of the current security and health situation and infrastructure challenges.”
And for those that felt the need to place America on that list. I hope it feels good to have the freedom to say such outlandish statements while millions of people die all over the world due to plenty of corrupt political infrastructures that people are willing to die to escape from.

Not too smart of a move. Everyone knows how dangerous it is over there. Many of the Haitians I know have told me they would take a trip there, even if it was free.
So watching what America does all day every day in other parts of the world. You're going to show up in an economically decimated country and stick out like a sore thumb. All right.
I smell propaganda… the U.S. economy is on a decline. It's like their trying to scare people into not leaving with their money. Especially African-Americans, who are recognized as the biggest spenders. Now, all of a sudden, countries are kidnapping Black people, and the news is focusing on it.

The disturbing fact is this, Africans tend to reproduce faster than other races except Hispanics. When you place this fact, on an island, limited land, there will be heightened conflict due to an ever increasing population and limited resources. A case study to say the least, for the future of humanity on planet Earth. 🕴️🗣️….🙇 This kidnapping could be real or staged. It's been done before. Only God knows.
