Why can’t the government make the guns owners to periodically pay for their mental health and make them pay for tax. I assume that won’t violate the second amendment, right? Years ago a federal law was passed to prohibit the purchase of alcohol to persons under the age of 21. The Republicans pushed for this law saying that death and injury in car crashes caused by teenaged drinkers was a public health concern. What is happening today with gun violence is a public health concern. If insurance companies had a stake in reducing gun violence, we would see effective laws being passed to minimize the risks of gun violence.

Those cops were freaking badass, the Uvalde Police Department should take some pointers from them. I watch a shoulder cam video of the cop who took out the suspect, and he took control of the situation and neutralize the threat. It was awesome
