There is a vary big difrence from fighting your first fire fight and your second, our millatry stands ready (having been at war for the past 22 years). Couldn't America just have a trade agreement with Taiwan . To bring all the computer chip companies and equipment to the US or territory. That's what China is most likely wanting to control…. This would help everyone but China… That's China's main concern……
The US is an existential threat to Taiwan and an existential threat to Chinese history and culture. If Taiwanese Chinese do not know that they are about to be killed, they must know that now.
The US is sick of being used 'as an ally' for Taiwan and dance the dance of ambiguity. It's taking too long. It has changed. It now wants to have Taiwan, sink US hooks into Taiwan and eat fresh bleeding Taiwan meat.
