Multiple states are considering a jump in speed limits. In North Carolina, some interstates could soon go from a 70 mph limit to 75 mph. Some safety advocates are warning that raising the limit could cause an increase in fatal crashes. NBC News’ Jesse Kirsch reports.

I think we should get more powerful guns with higher capacity magazines that shoot faster, too.
Why stop there? Allow driver to speeding at school zone or near school bus. Even better, increase DUI test allowed limit

What's so hard for North Dakota to bump their speed limits a little higher to 80mph? They already have 75mph speed limits statewide on two Interstates, and most importantly, they're very straight and fairly empty.
Maybe they could use some of our tax dollars to fix the roads first.

People in the U.S. mistake simply operating a car with knowledge on how to drive or fully control a car… despite the fact that most U.S. roads are straight. You get stupidity and in effect, wealthy insurance companies.

Autobahn has a lower fatality rate per billion kilometers traveled than many other highway systems, including those in the United States.
I remember being on a two lane highway in eastern Wyoming and it was 80 mph. That was awesome. Here in Illinois it’s 55 mph on two lanes.
Texas is 75 but everyone drives 90 so we should make it 85 so our speeding tickets arnt too high

Not gonna happen a long time ago when tdr was president when they were building the interstate there was a clause that said if they increased speed limits they’ll lose funding. It’s an OLLLLDDDDD LAW that needs to be off the books.

75 mph is the best Highway cruising speed, at 80 mph the rpms jump a bit higher causing more fuel loss in most regular cars.
They thrive off a high turn over rate. They want us all risking our lives out in the middle of desolate places where there isn't even a house to go for help. They also want them electric cars crashing and burning all over desert locations no one can even pass through the state once the only road is closed till the victims all burn alive 24 hours to burn out.
Enforce left lane hoggers for once first before you raise the speed limit…
And increase the number of speed cameras 😅
