OMG! Clarence Thomas has a wealthy friend who invites him and his wife on vacations with him and also invites him for dinner? And they have the same conservative ideology! There should be a law against him sharing these lavish vacations and $1000+ dinners! But there obviously isn't. Big difference between gifts and a millionaire choosing to share his wealth/ company with a judge/ friend. Did Thomas ever hear a case regarding this Crow guy? This is a nothing burger.

He went on annual trips with a friend, the rules & code of ethics did not require him to report it, and it had no influence on his work at the the bench. The System is Broken
Fix it by:
#1: setting TERM LIMITS
#2: Justices should NOT be selected by the president or anyone else. They must run for election and be voted in by the American people, since we are the ones their rulings affect.
#3: Ethical standards for justices must be well-defined and when they are violated, they must be tried in a court by the American public.
#4: Conflicts of interest must certainly be cause for recusal at all times, not discretionary as it currently stands.
