Edward Herrmann was a popular actor seen on “Gilmore Girls” and “Nixon,” now he is lending his voice to new audiobooks, even after his death nine years ago. NBC’s Steven Romo has more on how A.I. is behind this new audio narration technology.

  1. @2:41 Did it not register to Steven that his job is putting his voice over footage..to tell a story… He just trained an AI to do his job then highlighted that no one would know the difference. Not a great plan. 😅

    AI should have interviewed you

  2. Dyan should offer his voice for AI synthetic Voices Yes or No ?

  3. The original….. "for now…………"

  4. the AI knows all history's- all knowledge and understanding- speaks to you- is able to feel your movements through audio and know your beliefs- scary almost makes you sick thinking about it 🙂

  5. ART AI playing a movie at the speed of reading. And by the tones of your reading, and the feelings you have as you read them. < reading is fun

  6. Democratic Party News networks uses AI to transform Trump rallies into the voice of Hitler…

  7. The professional narrator has a point , how can the living compete with the dead ?

  8. I hope their heirs are being paid royalties.

  9. I think genuine human emotion and maybe something else might be lost with AI. Like in thoroughbred breeding, IMO a nervous energy or some type of vitality may be lost through artificial insemination.

  10. Does the AI remove the portions of the book that don't align with the Republican agenda?

  11. I was thinking 🤔 why use a dead guys voice for 4 audio books, no matter how good. When you have real life humans to do it. ( I've never watched that kids show so I wouldn't be able to recognize nor did I find that man voice anything to write home about. Use a real human who has soul. I think that gal makes a fine point starts out all good and gravy and understandable and then it gets lost in translation .. start drifting listening to a Computer tell you a story.

  14. I love audiobooks. It's very exciting

  15. So many people will lose their job because of AI. It's only a matter of time.

  16. F THE DEAD, EMPLOY THE LIVING! I AUTOMATICALLY TURN OFF (OR HANG UP!) WHEN I NOTICE AI VOICING.
    {AND USING AI TO REPLACE A NEWS REPORTER IS MOOT- REPORTERS ALREADY SOUND FAKE}
